Carnelian Signet Ring

Handcrafted signet ring made in solid sterling silver or 9 karat yellow gold.

Known as an artist's stone. carnelian is a warm, vibrant stone that boosts confidence and the power of true expression. A glassy, translucent stone, carnelian is an orange-red coloured variety of chalcedony, a mineral of the quartz family. In ancient Egypt, polished carnelian was a favourite contrast with onyx and lapis lazuli used in collars and necklaces designed for royalty. The ancient Romans were also known to use large carnelian stones set in gold for men and women's rings.
