BENJAMIN ROSE IS THE WORK of a single maker

Every piece begins with a conversation and ends at the bench - designed and made by one person, from start to finish.

Established in 2016, Benjamin Rose is a Melbourne based jeweller focused on creating bespoke engagement and wedding rings.

It began through a direct connection to the craft. An early introduction to an experienced jeweller led to years spent at the bench, learning in a hands-on, traditional way - by observing, asking questions, and refining technique over time. That foundation continues to shape the way each piece is made today.

From the first conversation through to the final polish, each piece is guided by a single pair of hands. This approach allows for a more considered process - one where decisions are made with intention, and each detail is resolved with care.

Working primarily in 18k gold and platinum, the practice combines traditional goldsmithing techniques with modern precision. Forms are sculptural and refined, designed to hold and frame exceptional gemstones while remaining practical for everyday wear.

Durability and longevity sit at the core of every piece. Engagement rings are worn daily, often for a lifetime, and each design is created with that reality in mind - engineered not just for how it looks, but for how it lasts.

The process is collaborative, but guided. Most clients begin without a clear understanding of what they’re looking for - part of my role is to bring clarity to that process, offering direction where needed and refining ideas into something resolved and enduring.

Rather than presenting endless variations, the focus is on making considered decisions at each stage - from proportion and material to stone selection - ensuring the final piece feels cohesive and intentional. Each piece is created with longevity in mind - designed to be worn every day, and to endure for generations.
